Types of Orthoses
At Same Day Podiatry, we only offer the most premium custom-moulded orthotics. Your orthotics will be perfectly tailored to your foot and can only be used by you. Insoles may be recommended if you require correction of your foot position to improve the way you walk, offload a particular area and reduce pain. We have different types of orthoses and styles to suit you depending on your footwear and general acceptability.

Our orthotics come in three main designs: Standard, Sports and Dress. Each pair of insoles require a specialist prescription from one of our Advanced Podiatrists. Think of it like eyeglasses.

Standard Functional
Perfect for helping to correct issues associated with foot function. This orthosis does not compromise on prescription and is best used in a wide and deep-fitting shoe.

Standard Sport
This style is perfect for those who require insoles for sporting activities that get the heart moving! Sports shoes are typically narrower and slimline. Therefore, these insoles are designed with this in mind and will incorporate a specific sports grind in the design and fit most sports shoes.

Dress
These insoles are the most slimline and are designed for dress shoes with or without a heel up to 3cm. This offers just enough correction and is a compromise to the functional standard orthoses.

Specialised Devices
Our specialised devices are custom moulded to suit patients with complex foot issues like diabetic foot disease, rheumatoid arthritis, fused joints and significant foot deformities. They are made from soft materials, and are flexible devices. These orthotics are ideal for patients whose foot type would struggle to accommodate a typical standard, sport or dress orthotic.
